Product Overview

The guide shoe is a guiding component for the elevator car and counterweight assembly. Installed on both sides of the car frame and counterweight frame, it works in conjunction with guide rails to ensure vertical and smooth movement of the car and counterweight along the rails, reducing vibration and noise during operation.

Key Features

· Sliding Guide Shoe: Features a wear-resistant nylon liner or cast iron shoe insert that makes sliding contact with the guide rail. Simple structure, high load capacity, suitable for medium and low-speed elevators. The liner is replaceable for easy maintenance.

· Roller Guide Shoe: Features three directional rollers (polyurethane wheels) in rolling contact with the guide rail. Low friction resistance, smooth operation, suitable for high-speed elevators. Spring preload of the rollers is adjustable to accommodate guide rail installation deviations.

· Wear-Resistant Shoe Insert: Nylon shoe insert is compounded with self-lubricating materials such as molybdenum disulfide or graphite for low friction coefficient and good wear resistance. Cast iron shoe insert offers high rigidity for heavy-duty applications.

· Adjustable Clearance: Sliding guide shoes are equipped with adjustment shims to adjust the lateral clearance between the shoe insert and guide rail (typically 0.5–1.0mm), ensuring proper centering.

· Vibration Damping & Noise Reduction: Roller guide shoes feature a built-in rubber buffer layer to absorb impact vibration at rail joints, improving ride comfort.

Installation & Service

During installation, ensure uniform contact between shoe insert/rollers and the guide rail. Lateral clearance for sliding guide shoes should be controlled at 0.5–1.0mm. Roller preload for roller guide shoes should be adjusted according to load. Guide rail centering guidance is provided. Shoe inserts and rollers can be replaced separately. It is recommended to check shoe insert wear and roller rubber aging every six months.
